AFTERCARE
DO NOT remove bandage for at least 2 hours.
Wash tattooed area after removal of bandage with Dial soap and warm water. DO NOT re-wrap your tattoo. PLEASE NOTE: DIAL GOLD is what ADORN recommends using. Some ink will come off during the wash process. Some ink is not FDA approved.
For the first 3 days, wash your tattoo 3-5 times per day, with Dial soap and water ONLY. After the first 3 days, you may apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor, A&D, Bagbalm or unscented lotion to your tattoo. Only apply a thin layer after you have washed the tattoo. If you can see the ointment on your skin you have applied to much. Never overcompensate on ointment. a thin layer is always what is recommended.
DO NOT sun or tan, swim or soak, itch or pick your tattoo for at least two weeks. Or until tattoo is completely healed. DO NOT garden or come in contact with animals. DO NOT wear restricting clothing over fresh tattoos. Be aware of your environment and never touch your tattoo until your hands have been washed. DO NOT let anything or any one touch your tattoo while it is healing; it is an open wound and should always be treated as such.
Redness, swelling, and tenderness of the procedure site are all normal symptoms. However, if you are experiencing any reactions, such as bumps from allergic reaction to ointment being used during aftercare or reaction to ink, elevated body temperature, purulent drainage from the procedure site or red streaks going from the procedure site to the heart, PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL CARE.
